We are a dynamic multi-cultural community of people passionate about connecting with God and empowering each other to walk in our kingdom identity and destiny for His glory. No matter where you come from, you are welcome here.
Get to know us by exploring our culture, values, and beliefs below.
We are a multi-cultural community where people are connected, empowered, and released into their kingdom destiny.
As a community, we are a mosaic of people representing different ethnicities, cultures, and ages who are called to influence our families, workplaces, cities and nations with the love and power of God. In all that we do, we seek to equip people to carry His presence, life, and love everywhere we go.
At Mosaic, we desire to live out biblical truth together as we fulfill God’s purposes in our lives for His glory. We are passionate about helping people connect with God and live empowered lives in the fullness of who they are created to be.
We do this by creating moments and opportunities for people to meet and encounter the loving presence of their creator. Together, we are dedicated to growing in hunger as we pursue the endless wonder of God and are transformed by His love.
As believers, Jesus commissions us to make disciples of all nations.
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
One of the ways we make disciples is to create and multiply communities of believers. As a group of people who are passionate about advancing God’s kingdom on earth, we got together to pray. As we prayed and sought God for direction, which led to the emergence of a vision of planting and building Mosaic Ekklesia. Together, we are called to build a thriving multi-cultural (multi-ethnic and multi-generational) community of believers that helps people encounter God, be empowered and equipped, and partner with God in His redemptive mission on the earth.
Our core values are the foundation of our culture. They are the underlying principles that guide our priorities, decisions, and efforts as a community.
We devote ourselves to God’s Word because it is the fountain of all truth. The goal of Scripture is to bring us into a relationship with the Author of creation: God Himself. Studying God’s Word transforms and empowers us to believe in who He is, who we are, and how He wants us to live. God’s Word transforms us into His likeness and empowers us to live and act according to our original design and His purpose.
2 Timothy 3:15-17; Matthew 4:4; Romans 10:17; John 17:17; John 8:31-32
As a community, we are focused on cultivating an awareness of the presence of God, because it’s in His presence that we are transformed and empowered by His love. As we love God with all our heart, mind, and soul, His loving presence fills us, enabling us to love one another and equipping us to live in our kingdom identity and destiny, bearing good fruit so that the world might come to know Jesus.
Psalm 27:4; Luke 10:39-42; James 4:8; Matt 22:37-39, 28:19-20
Through the redemptive work of the cross, God’s Spirit is now actively at work in the earth through the lives of believers. As His sons and daughters, we actively partner with Him in reconciling creation to its original design by proclaiming the gospel, healing the sick and setting people free and living our lives in a way that advances the Kingdom in our sphere of influence. It’s our heart’s desire to see God’s kingdom manifest on the earth as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:10; 1 John 3:8, 4:4; John 14:12; Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Peter 2:9; Acts 1:8
As a community, we believe that God’s Word transforms and His presence empowers us, which is why read Scripture daily to draw near to God as we are transformed into His likeness. Rooted in His Word, we also seek to cultivate a hunger for God’s manifest presence and walk with an openness to experiencing the Holy Spirit so that we might carry and manifest His presence in our daily lives. Some of the ways that we practice the presence of God in our community include reading, believing, and declaring God’s promises, practicing waiting on the Lord and hearing God’s voice, and encountering God through worship, prayer, and fellowship.
Family is the primary model that God uses to multiply humanity on the earth. We believe that we are adopted into God’s family through Jesus, so we intentionally create family and community wherever we go. Just as children grow into maturity in a family, God uses spiritual family to raise up sons and daughters into the fullness of health and maturity. In our community, we pursue family by meeting and doing life together in groups of 10-20 people who regularly gather throughout the week to pursue God and encourage one another.
As followers of Jesus, we are all called to make disciples of all nations; to go where God leads us, and share the gospel with non-believers so that they might come to know and follow Jesus. Discipleship is about helping people know and follow Jesus by doing daily life together in a way that helps them fulfill their calling from God. This involves a high degree of intentionality: getting to know someone for who they really are, encouraging them to seek God in all areas of life, having deep conversations when sin is evident, working through conflict for reconciliation, and spending extra time with them when life gets difficult.
In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul states that we should be mindful of the spiritual gifts, which are given by the Holy Spirit for the building up of the body. He explains that each believer is a part of the body and that every part of the body is necessary for strength of the whole. We have to be careful not to think that some gifts are better or more necessary than others. As Mosaic, we intentionally structure our gatherings to create space for everyone in the body to contribute.
Many churches begin small and relational, but doing church as family becomes challenging as the Lord adds to its number. The solution to this is “multiplication.” Multiplication of God’s family is God’s way of advancing His Kingdom throughout the world. At Mosaic, we multiply to preserve the healthy number of 10-20 people in a church in order to maintain relational discipleship and prioritize the mission of God. We structure our churches in a way that is reproducible so that they can be multiplied effectively.
When the church Paul planted in Corinth was facing problems, he explained how he started the church. He states that he intentionally stayed away from using “eloquence,” “human wisdom,” and “wise or persuasive words” when starting and building the church in 1 Corinthians 2. Paul wanted them to build their faith in Jesus and the power of the Spirit, and not on human wisdom. At Mosaic, our heart is to create an environment where you can focus on what matters most in our lives as believers: connecting with Jesus and finding belonging in a community of believers who are hungry to experience more of Him. Jesus said that He will build His church. Jesus knew how to build the church. Paul knew how to build the church. We want to follow in their steps.
Our weekly Sunday gatherings are modeled after the example of the early church that is outlined in Acts 2:42-44. In a traditional church service, you get worship led by a professional worship team and a sermon by an excellent speaker on the platform. At Mosaic, we want people to view their Scripture reading as their sermons. We want to devote ourselves to the apostle’s teaching by thinking deeply about the inspired word of God, instead of thinking about the pastor’s words. In our Sunday gatherings, we spend time worshiping together, reading the Scripture and allowing God to speak to us through the Scripture, and praying, where everyone can participate and contribute.
Once a month, all of our ekklesias (churches) meet together as a large group for worship and prayer on Sunday. This large gathering will include worship, the proclamation of the Word, the activation of truth, prophetic prayer, and fellowship, creating space for everyone to exercise their gifts. These gatherings are designed to strengthen, encourage and equip the church to walk with God as we pursue life together in community.

We believe in one true God who revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent - one being in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the Creator, eternal King, and Redeemer of humanity. He is infinitely perfect, holy, just, loving, and truthful.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God.
We believe that humanity was originally created in the image of God to know and enjoy Him, yet we willfully rejected the Lordship of God and became separated from God. We believe we are saved by God’s grace, through faith in the person and the atoning work of Jesus Christ. Anyone can be restored to fellowship with God through repenting, believing, and receiving Jesus as their Savior and Lord. The Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, justifies, sanctifies, and adopts us as we enter the Kingdom of God as His sons and daughters.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the one and only Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin, Mary, was crucified, died, and was buried. He was resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and is true God and true man. Victorious redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides freedom from the power of the enemy - sin, lies, sickness, and torment.
We believe that sanctification is the ongoing process of yielding to God's Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ's character in us. It is through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
We believe in divine healing, through faith in the Name of Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in redemption.
We believe that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit empowers believers and that the infilling of the Holy Spirit follows the same pattern that is described in the New Testament (Acts 2:4). All believers should ardently expect and earnestly seek the Promise of the Father, which is the Baptism with the Holy Spirit for the empowerment for life and the work of the ministry.
We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon Christians for the edification of the Body of Christ and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life
We believe that the Church consists of all those who believe in Jesus Christ. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church, which has been commissioned by Him to carry on his ministry and further advance His kingdom by proclaiming and living the gospel, discipling the nations, baptizing, and teaching them to obey God. He gave his Church the ordinances of Baptism and Communion.
We believe heaven and hell are real places. We believe every person will one day stand before the judgment seat of Christ to receive eternal life or death. We believe that the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent and the blessed hope of the believers.

Water Baptism: Water baptism is a step of obedience to Jesus’ command in Matthew 28:19. We believe that baptism by immersion in water is an outward sign of an inward work. It is a personal and public declaration of our commitment to follow Jesus, as Lord and Savior of our lives. All who repent and believe in Christ as Savior and Lord are to be baptized. Thus, they declare to the world that they have died with Christ and that they also have been raised with Him to walk in the newness of life.
Communion (The Lord's Supper): We believe in commemorating the Lord’s Supper by the symbolic use of bread and fruit of the vine (the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ) in remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross.

Westside Montessori International (WMI) was founded in 2012 to provide Montessori education for children up to six years old. In 2023, Mosaic Ekklesia partnered with WMI to support the growth of our children's program. We are glad to be partners in equipping the next generation and in building up and supporting families in our community. You can learn more about WMI here.
“.... I will build my church (ekklesia), and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:18-19
When Jesus used the word Ekklesia (Greek word for “church”), His disciples understood correctly what it meant, which is significantly different from our contemporary ideas of what “church” represents.
To us today, “church” is a building holding a Christian worship service or a congregation of Christians. But more accurately, its literal meaning refers to a “called out” group of people.
To the Greeks in Christ’s day, Ekklesia was an assembly of people who were “called out” to the public place to govern. To control their empire, Romans sent Ekklesia, an assembly of people, to a region to rule and change the culture until they thought and talked like Romans.
When Jesus said He would build His church, He spoke about “called out” people that would influence and impact spiritually for Him, advancing the presence of His kingdom over the earth.
Jesus was declaring His church would have keys (symbolize authority) to lock and unlock the gates of hell and heaven. Jesus was saying He would raise His ekklesia, kingdom influencers, on earth, and the hell’s power wouldn’t prevail over it.
We are a community of mosaic people of different ethnicity, culture, and age, who are “called out” to influence our culture, workplace, city, nations with the spiritual power of God’s kingdom, spreading His presence, life, and love everywhere.
We are called to make disciples. One of the ways to multiply disciples and His kingdom is to multiply His Ekklesias (church). We are a new expression of the church. We want to be simple, following the example from Acts 2:42-43. We want to build a dynamic community of people who desire to connect with God and live out their kingdom identity and destiny to the fullest in Christ Jesus. As we do this, God’s purposes will be fulfilled through our lives, and His kingdom will be manifested on earth as it is in heaven. Please see Our Core Values and Practices.
